TRAVELLER SUPPORT 24/7

Wings has been creating travel programmes and managing people logistics for energy and offshore clients for more than 31 years.

Powering the energy industry

We work with clients to improve their travel programmes, streamlining business processes and supporting the transition from costly manual processes to automated booking systems.

Clients’ travel plans are often complex. We help you to keep your operations running smoothly, while meeting your objectives of cost control and compliance . Nothing says more about the quality of the service than our 96% client retention rate.

Wings has a direct presence in key energy locations including Houston, Lafayette, Aberdeen, Dubai, Al Khobar, Cairo, Stavanger,  Rio de Janeiro, Luanda, Lagos, Maputo and Singapore. We look after multinational operators and smaller service and support industries alike.

Our industry leading technology platform supports continuous, real-time commuter tracking and reporting, which are vital in the event of an emergency. Wings supports you to meet your health and safety standards, minimise risk and reduce the impact of travel disruption, natural catastrophes or unforeseen incidents – around the clock and anywhere in the world.

Our expertise and unified global service platform put traveller productivity, safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. We put an equally high premium on value, with the ability to offer exclusive specialist energy and marine fares to our customers around the globe.

Wings Energy Academy

Every Wings travel consultant graduates from the Wings Energy Academy. This is a 12-month programme that gives our team comprehensive training and education in every aspect of the energy business. It gives them the insight and knowledge to overcome your travel challenges.

The course covers the history of the industry and the exploration process. It also covers types of drilling platform and the lifecycle of an oil field, as well as operational detail such as typical rotational schedules. Most importantly, it gives our consultants an insight into human factors – the roles of the roughneck, derrickhand, driller and rig manager, and what life is like for a rig worker.

The Wings Energy Academy makes our team uniquely qualified to appreciate the travel needs and complex logistics of the industry.

Navigating the complexities of the marine and shipping sector

Managing travel for the marine and shipping sector is a specialist job. The world fleet comprises 68,000 merchant vessels, transporting more than 2 billion tonnes of goods each year, crewed by 1.6 million seafarers. Profitability and operational success depend on getting crew to the right place at the right time.

Wings understands the variables faced by ship owners, management companies and manning agents – and the crucial role of seamless crew changes and logistics. Our team helps you navigate the complexities of itinerary and route-planning for individual seafarers, officers and regular crew rotations.

Wings supports you to offset the effects of rising fuel and other costs by negotiating exclusive marine fare deals, resulting in typical savings of up to 27% for marine clients.

Our global network of wholly owned hubs backed by a unified global service platform enables us to take care of everything – managing last-minute schedule changes, controlling compliance, traveller-tracking, post-trip analysis and business information for expense management and accounting. It also helps you keep track of visas and other documentation needed to avoid costly delays and keep the business moving.
