High-flying finance chief joins Wings Global Travel

Former Expedia CFO brings commercial, tech and strategic credentials to TMC role

London – 23 April 2024 – Leading TMC Wings Global Travel has landed high-flying finance leader Anthony McCartney to spearhead the next phase of growth. The former Expedia and American Express executive joins Wings as Group CFO.

McCartney brings commercial, technical and strategic experience to the role after more than a decade at Expedia where he rose to SVP and CFO of the Travel Partners Group. At Expedia he was instrumental in establishing the divisional global HQ operation in Geneva, Switzerland, and growing the supply of hotel, airline and car rental partners.

McCartney said: “Finance and technology are strategic functions in the corporate travel business and the CFO needs a firm grip of both. I’m excited to be joining Wings, an established player with huge potential to leverage its global presence and its reputation for client service and managing complex travel programmes.”
