Corporate social responsibility

Giving back to our communities is one of our core values and we are committed to this in all regions where Wings operates.  Our CSR programme focuses on numerous social and fundraising initiatives suggested by our colleagues.  Our employees are enthusiastically engaged in our CSR initiatives and this ongoing community involvement allows us to promote positive change. We encourage others, including our suppliers and clients, to join us in this endeavour.

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home

Battersea take in every animal in need. They give each one lots of love, expert care and get to know their characters and quirks so they can find a new home that’s just right for them.

London

Ace of Clubs is a family-like community providing transformative support for homeless, vulnerable and otherwise marginalised people in the Clapham area.

Currently they are helping between 80 and 180 people per day. The number of people coming to Ace of Clubs for help increases year on year due to the recession, benefits changes and a severe increase in homelessness.

Dubai

Emirates Red Crescent is a volunteer humanitarian organisation that supports official authorities in times of peace and war. It started on 31 January 1983 and was internationally attested as a member in the international Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in 1986.

Brazil

Ação da Cidadania

Founded help 32 million Brazilians who, according to Ipea data, were below the poverty line. Created in the early 1990s at the height of the movement for ethics in politics, the Citizenship Action against Hunger, Misery and for Life (Ação da Cidadania) became the most recognised social movement in Brazil. Its main axis of action is an extensive mobilisation network formed by local committees of organised civil society, mostly composed of community leaders, but with participation from all social sectors.

Norway

Viking Gatelag is a low-threshold service for women and men with various forms of drug or alcohol addiction. It helps people who are actively addicted, people undergoing rehabilitation or those who have managed to become drug/alcohol-free.

Viking Footballklubb is a professional football club in Norway and we support them with all their travel needs. We will support them with NOK 10,000 in travel.

Cyprus

The aim of the Margarita Liasidou Foundation is to offer accommodation, protection, care, exercise, entertainment and rehabilitation to handicapped children.

Opportunities are provided in terms of physical abilities and mental comprehension. They are also shown how to look after themselves, socialise with others and work in a community with other people.
